Responsible Care, which was first initiated by the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada (formerly the Canadian Chemical Producers' Association, CCPA) in 1987 and spread very quickly among the industry in just few years, is a pro-active initiative in the global chemical and chemical engineering industry. Nowadays, there are more than 53 participating countries. Our guidelines for safety standards are even more meticulous and more regulated than that of most "Responsible Care" countries. This demonstrates the magnitude of our determination in preservation and conservation. The concepts of Responsible Care in Taiwan was initially introduced by Environmental Protection Administration in 1990 and promoted by Chemical Industry Association of Taiwan. In 1998, the Industrial Development Bureau of Ministry of Economic Affairs helped to set up the Taiwan Responsible Care Association. With the implementation of "Responsible Care", we devote to comply with the safety standards in our marketing activities, operation management, research development, production management, channel distribution, and last but not least, waste management; reuse, recycle, and disposal. At the same time, our commitments help to raise the health and safety awareness among our employees, contractors, suppliers, clients, and neighborhood residents.
